San Salvador - Brujos 98-77 The game with biggest result difference took place in San Salvador. Local San Salvador (6-3) outscored 5th ranked Brujos (3-6) 98-77. San Salvador players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The winners were led by American-Puerto Rican forward Julian Torres (206-97, college: LSUA) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and American Chris Blake (195-88, college: Detroit) supported him with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Even a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds by Guyanese-American power forward Anthony Moe (207-90, college: Millersville) did not help to save the game for Brujos. Naturalized Canadian Jose Araujo (187-86, college: UNBC, agency: Interperformances) added 14 points and 10 assists for the guests. Four Brujos players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. San Salvador maintains third position with 6-3 record having just three points less than leader Santa Tecla. Brujos at the other side dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Santa Ana (7-2) to sixth ranked Aguila (3-5) 88-85 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Santa Ana. The best player for the winners was Puerto Rican guard Victor Carattini (185-92, college: PR-Bayamon) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. Cuban Oreste Torres (204-87) chipped in 24 points and 8 rebounds. Four Aguila players scored in double figures. Five Fantasmas players scored in double figures. Chalchuapa maintains eighth position with 1-7 record. It was Fantasmas' third loss in a row. They keep the seventh place with seven games lost. Chalchuapa will meet league's leader Santa Tecla on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
